Dr. Rita Dexter, DNP, CRNP, PMHNP-BC
Practice Philosophy
Rita is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and has licensure in Maryland and District of Columbia. Rita attained her Bachelor of Science in nursing degree in 2010 from Harvard University. She advanced her education by pursuing Master of Science in nursing degree in 2019 with honors as a Nurse Practitioner with concentration in psychiatric/mental health from Walden University. Her continued quest for knowledge pushed her to pursue her Doctorate in nursing Practice to acquire the skills needed to effectively navigate the industry.
She has an extensive field experience in helping patients from various backgrounds and age groups. She is excellent in psychiatric evaluations, medication management, therapeutic services, client education, treatment planning, follow-ups, and overall health assessments to ensure that clients get a sustainable value from her services.
